Tomato and Caramelized Onion Chutney

Homemade tomato chutney in a jar with fresh herbs, ripe tomatoes, and bread.

INGREDIENTS

½ can Fire Roasted Salsa, Drained, Red Harvest, VE 044598
3 cups Caramelized Onions, Savor, VE 055452
Salt and Pepper, to Taste

DIRECTIONS

Chop the caramelized onions up a bit by hand.
In a sauce pot, add the caramelized onions and cook until all liquid has evaporated and onions are a nice caramel color.
Add the drained tomatoes and cook until any remaining liquid is reduced and thick- remove from heat and season to taste.
Cool completely, and serve cold or room temperature.
