RECIPE: Italian Sausage and Burrata

INGREDIENTS

4 oz Sausage, Smithfield, VE 060725
¼ cup Onion, Chopped
¼ cup Tomato, Canned and Chopped
Fresh Black Pepper, to Taste
2 oz Burrata Cheese, Bel Gioioso Cheese, VE 047154
1 cup Mayonnaise, Ventura, VE 011790
¼ cup Basil Pesto, Armanino, VE 073106
Baby Spinach, Pro Act, VE 005770
8” Scored, Sliced Sub Roll, MI Bread, VE 019482

DIRECTIONS

On a flat top, cook 4 oz of bulk sausage along with the onion- season with fresh black pepper.
Add ¼ cup of canned, diced tomato and cook until liquid is evaporated – top with 2 oz Burrata cheese and melt.
Spread the roll with 1 oz basil mayo and top with baby spinach.
For the sauce, mix 1 cup of mayonnaise with 1/4 cup of basil pesto.
