Van Eerden Foodservice Company is an independent, broadline foodservice distributor based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Company began in 1920 when Andrew Van Eerden and two partners formed "Van Eerden Company" to distribute fresh produce to grocers and restaurants in the Greater Grand Rapids area.
From its beginning, the Company maintained a practice of buying the finest quality produce available, and delivering the product to its customers as-soon-as possible, ensuring freshness and value. Growth and market expansion led the Company to incorporate in early 1961, and Jack Van Eerden, Andrew's son, was elected President and General Manager.
While the Company continued to grow and expand into other product lines, it retained its commitment to quality service. This commitment contributed to Van Eerden Foodservice Company being recognized as one of the nation's top tier broadline foodservice distributors. Now in its third generation of family ownership, Van Eerden Foodservice Company still remains focused on the business principles and values first established by Andrew Van Eerden in 1920.
